A Wonderful YA Fantasy with Originality and Depth
How could life be anything but complicated for a fourteen year old girl? There are all the pressures of school, family, work, friends, and life in general. Elizabeth is by no means, your ordinary teenager. She is in a constant struggle to balance her life AND her "Dark" life. You might say she carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. Elizabeth accepts her fate, and enters a magical universe, where she holds great powers. There are many times when she must risk her own life, to save the universe from intruding evil wizards.

In my opinion, this is without a doubt, one of the best YA fantasy books. Marise Ghorayeb proves her talent with a flair for originality and creativity. The characters in this book are all complex and skillfully portrayed. When reading a fantasy book I often wonder, how does one conjure such ideas? It must come from having a wonderful imagination. The author seems to have the ability to put these ideas into words, and that is what makes a great writer. Marise seems to have mastered this talent very well. I look forward to reading more by this author.
