Review: Once An Addict - Barry Woodward5
In this book Barry Woodward shares the remarkable story of his life. It is shockingly honest and does not blur the lines of drug addiction and crime. Such an account is rarely found and I count it extremely valuable in a generation that is so engrossed in this type of lifestyle.

Barry has a unique skill of using language that connects him with the reader. This ability is evident throughout and allows people from all walks of life to connect into his life and journey as a person. You will not find complicated language styles but rather down to earth "real life" account of Barry's life.

I am convinced that this book will offer hope to anyone who maybe going through drug addiction themselves. Furthermore, this book will inspire those who have friends or family members involved in drugs or crime to not give up hope. The book is exciting, captivating and difficult to put down! I thoroughly recommend it! Clyde Thomas

A gripping read5
From the opening pages I was hooked. This is a fascinating, sometimes diturbing, but ultimately inspiring story of one man's incredible journey from drugs to freedom. At times the stories recounted made me wince whilst others made me smile - perhaps most importantly though I felt compelled to carry on reading this engaging and highly thought provoking book.A truely fascinating read

pleasant and entertaining book, but to short and not a little evangelical 3
after seeing the multiple 5 star reviews of this book i have been contemplating buy and looking forward to it so much one day i just decided to buy it, I WAS VERY UNDERWELMED

the book is good, the story is good, but not detailed enough you can't shrink 20 years worth of drug taking history into 200 pages! there was no were near enough detail about the ups and downs of addicted life, i thinkg a hole 5 year period was shrank to about 30 pages!! and the last 50 pages are obviously dedicated to religion, sorry if i spoiled it but at the end of the day as an athiest and an addiction psychologist i wasn't to happy with the end it turned into an evangelical conversion book..

a book that is similar: crime, drugs, is Criminal by casper walsh a much more detailed and graphic account of addiction.. if you are looking for a step by step account of the lows of addiction that is the one to go for, im not saying this book wasn't good it was, but no were near as good as i was expecting i felt a little let down
