Amazing variety of style should appeal to all5
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R1GZ1S2HQW16A3 This book is actually much better than I thought. Probably because I'm looking at them in full size instead of the small web images I found on the Internet.

It has a very satisfying thickness at 320 pages. The dust jacket is smooth, nice to touch, non-glossy over a soft cover. The paper stock is thick matte and the colour reproduction is wonderful.

Hundreds of artists have come together to contribute Street Fighter art for the book. As a result, the variety in terms of style is amazing. Some of the styles included are manga, realistic caricature, chibi, game art, vector and many other.

I've read of artists who blogged about their work being rejected. I can understand why because the quality of artwork in this book is very high.

UDON has also allowed artists to promote their work on their individual blogs. Over the past few months, I've seen a lot of artists blogging about their art and the book. It's really great to finally see the book in print.

This art book belongs to the you-can-enjoy-it-even-if-you're-not-a-Street-Fighter-fan category.

It's well worth every single cent I spent, and I'm not a Street Fighter fan.

There are more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.

Udon with a twist...4
Before anything is said about this book one thing has to be bared in mind. This is not a collection of udons best artists showing off their best skills like many of their other books, getting to the truth of this book it is actually in fact a collection of the results of an art competition they hosted to celebrate the franchises 20th anniversary. Expect to see varying styles, from minimalist, stunning digitally painted 3D models, traditional Manga style to even styles reminiscent of the Looney Tunes.

It is because of this the artwork doesn't really have a balance in terms of keeping the fans happy showing every character in equal measure which is a shame, but I get the feeling the main aim of this book was to give a scope of the varying styles artists who are fans of Street Fighter have. Unless you're a hardcore collector, don't think of this so much as a collectors item, but more as a scource of inspirational from the different art styles.

The Wow Factor5
This is amazing art. It may not be in Udon style but a whole lot of it will blow you away. Its true that some characters do get a bit left out but thats just the way it goes when you ask fans to draw their favorite characters. Since it will be only Street Fighter fans that will look here I'll say buy it now, you won't regret it if you truly love Street Fighter.
