Customer Reviews

The only book on the subject with engineering credibility5
As opposed to traditional engine blueprinting books, this one goes much deeper on the subject. First, all the theoretical bases are explained and then, very practical methods are given to choose the best camshaft for your application. Very accurate timing methods are also illustrated. Finally, there is a chapter for every king of engine (SOHC, DOHC two valve per cyl. and four valve per cyl.). If you don't know how to choose and modify your camshafts, buy this book.

great book5
An excellent book detailing many valvetrain types and explaining the differences between them (SOHC, DOHC, etc) The author enlightens you with his obvious knowledge and explains everything from theory to practice. Above all this book will give practical advice on camshaft selection, explaining duration, lift and how these affect the ability of an engine in torque and horsepower at different rpm. However, this book will quickly annoy the max power generation as they find out running a 320 degree cam alone in they're lashed up corsa WONT make 300hp, this book will explain why. An excellent buy as a workshop book for anyone presently building an engine.
