It includes a CD with complete 60-minute yoga workout featuring the 20 yoga postures explained in the book. The Easy Yoga Workbook includes specially commissioned exercise photographs, and analyses the most common problems associated with the postures, giving specific instructions on how to overcome them. Fantastic for beginners4
Tara Frasers book is just the kind of guide you want when deciding to take up yoga. The ring - bound pages mean you can leave the book open on a specific posture while trying to do it, without having to put all sorts of heavy objects on it for it to remain open!
The book works through some fairly basic and comfortable postures. With each posture you get a full page photograph of how it should look, as well as the benefits you can reap by doing it. You are also shown alternatives to the postures in case it hurts or you are unable to do it - which is a really good idea.
The CD with the book is an ingenious idea, which makes you feel like you are taking part in a real yoga class and not just at home practising. The meditations at the end of the CD are brilliant and really relax your whole body.
Brilliant.

Easy to follow, enjoyable to use.5
The Easy Yoga Workbook is a must have for anyone with even a slight interest in yoga.
It has clear instructions on how to do each position, including how to take them further.
The introduction at the start is detailed and the CD included makes you feel like you are in a class.
It finishes with an excellent relaxation.
It is the best yoga book i've ever read.

Renewed enthusiasm5
I bought this based on the other 2 reviews and having already purchased Tara Fraser's much more in-depth Total Yoga in 2001 in the USA. I practise at home, but with a busy lifestyle/working from home, 2 children, I tend to lapse! I've shunned the celeb yoga dvds (which always appear in the shops after Christmas excesses), but previously used Barbara Currie's vg vids and 10 minute workouts; this, however, is by far the best introduction to yoga I've experienced in this format.

Focusing on 22 basics with sensible adaptations it's really superb for beginners (or the lapsed...) and the hour's sesh completed today has got me back on the path of regular practice. Tara suggests other exercise, such as cycling, for a more aerobic workout, and this is another or my favourite pursuits and the one thing I do make time for each day. I'm near the coast and can enjoy fresh air cycling a minimum of 2.5 miles along coastal paths for my lunch break.

The audio cd is ideal for use with a personal cd player (for portable hol practice) and Tara's clear instructions and pleasant, well-modulated voice don't grate. The spiral bound book is a great improvement, having broken the backs of so many or got into a pose only to see my paperweights sliding off across the living room floor.

If you get hooked, you will want to read more on the history, holistic diet and nutrition and tackle more complex poses; I'm delighted I have Total Yoga too as this is the book to dip into for more detailed info and further inspiration.

Having got my hands on The Easy Yoga Workbook, I will not be lapsing and shall keenly recommend it to friends, who like me, tried yoga, saw swift benefits in suppleness, shape and sense of well-being, yet have lapsed due to time pressures/lifestyles. I probablly do more than most, but this is just the kick start needed - and before we all vow to do something because it is the New Year.

Look forward to seeing Tara put on the telly someday and determined to get husband to participate for his back!
