Couldn't wait to finish2
Now, I hate those reviewers who just come online to slag off books but unfortunately I had to say something about this book. If you look at my past reviews you'll note that practically, if not all, have been positive so this is not a usual thing for me to do.

I was really excited to read Betrayed as I had really enjoyed the fluent writing skills of the mother-daughter team and liked the characters - especially Erik,(yum). This book starts off great, despite the fact that Erik isn't in it for like 200 pages. Despite the fact that he is supposed to be Zoey's boyfriend she doesn't seem to be that interested in maintaining it and hardly thinks about him at all, instead concentrating on two other guys in her life. When Loren came in, in addition to her human boyfriend, I wanted to throw the book down and stop reading. Unfortunately i'm one of those die-hard readers that feel compelled to finish a book.

There are many things in this book that didn't make sense to me, such as why the Casts have dipped to low standards in writing in one of the most increasingly popular plot devices - the other guy. A lot of books are doing this nowadays - writing in another guy so that the heroine can't decide which one to have. This infuriates me as it is such a cheap trick and I just hate it. That could have had a lot to do with why I couldn't wait to finish the book. Amazon.com reviewers, however, seem to agree with me. If you liked Marked you should probably read this book to judge for yourself for there seems to be an equal number of hates/loves.

I found this book to be a poor echo of the first book which I enjoyed so much and only gave it 2 stars as the writing style was still adequate. I feel very mean stating this as there is nothing worse than a bad review but if you want to buy this book I think you should weigh up reviews and then decide. Good luck.

WOW!5
I am a big twilight fan and thought i wouldn't enjoy this as much. At first it seemed strange but the book got realy good! I've read them all, they're amazing! I recommend anybody to buy this book. They're not very long but couldn't be any better. Perfect for teen girls to read, they're funny, romantic and thrilling.

UN-PUT-DOWN-ABLE!!!5
This book is absolutely amazing! If you loved Marked then believe me you'll love this too.
'Betrayed' sees Zoey Redbird taking on her responsibility as leader of the dark daughters along with trying to deal with her ever complicated love life, obsessive bloodlust, new powers and thats not to mention the inexplicable human murders that have started to occur (with all the evidence pointing to the vampires at the house of night).
As the title hints betrayal does occur in ths book and the suspense that leads up to it is almost unbareable. Along with the twisting plot that will keep the book glued to your hands there is also some strong emotions in this book. I won't give anything away but I balled my eyes out!
As a 14 year old girl I loved this book completely and can't wait for my next fix in 'Chosen'. Hope this helped :)
