The 20 Minute Total Body Workout Solution
The Miracle Seven book offers a more structured program than John Peterson's classic Pushing Yourself to Power. Like the aforementioned book The Miracle Seven offers a place to start if you have not exercised for a while, if you are weak or infirm, or are over weight.
The book offers John McSweeney's Tiger Moves. John McSweeney was a martial arts legend who created a very simple exercise system that is based upon observations on how the big cats keep themselves in shape by constantly stretching with great tension whenever it got up or changed positions. These seven exercises are a complete body workout and are worth many times the cost of this excellent book. In fact there are many that practise these life changing exercises exclusively for life long health and fitness.
The Miracle Seven offers so much more. There are also seven daily exercise routines consisting of seven exercises;
Workout One; chest, shoulders and triceps
Workout Two; neck, back and biceps
Workout Three, quads, glutes, hips and calves - especially for women
Workout Four, sculpted Abs
Workout Five; a complete pull up and chin up guide
Workout Six; shapely, well muscled legs that go the distance
Workout Seven; advanced level push up program
The book also offers a common sense nutritional guide; I ask you where else can you find so much for such a little price! Do yourself and your loved ones a favour, get this book, and get ready to transform your body to the one of your dreams. Good - but beware !
The actual Miracle Seven exercises are an excellent workout and the author has an engaging, conversational writing style. My problem with this book is that some of the additional exercises after the Miracle Seven are positively dangerous. Take for example sit ups with straight legs, press up variations which allow the lower back to sag, and abdominal exercises which include straight leg lifts, all of which put great strain on the lower back.
Buy the book for the Miracle Seven, but if you want to be free from injury, be vary wary of the additional exercises.
Seven good exercises
I will not reiterate what the best commentator has written. I will just say i bought the book, and i am concentrating ONLY on the seven Tiger moves.
On doing these, they are very intense. They are specific for arms, abdominal muscles and legs (thighs).
I am affected with COPD, so I could be classified as weak. Still I can do these. At the end of them, I felt boosted and inspired. yes, they work! Of course, you might laugh and say "How do you know after one session?" I know because it isremarkable. it involves the mind as well as the body (and soul).
John E.Peterson mentions Selvarajan Yessudian and the same exercises described by him as coming from an Indian tradition. when I was little, my mum bought this very book by Yessudian. I do remember these sets of exercises. Unfortunately, at the time, i did not understand the impact. I was too young.
So I am so very glad I have found them again. I like the fact that they are non-competitive. They just emphasize, with a promise, that you can have a beautiful body.
I believe this to be true from this first session which has intensified all my muscles with a feel-good factor at the end WITHOUT leaving me short of breath which is my usual fear aftr exercise. They are safe for COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). In fact, I am bold to advance that they will bring healing.
Buy this exciting book and become excited about your own body... and mind, it will do you good.
(Warning: I think it is fair to say that the rest of the exercise are for more advanced people who have done the seven tiger moves for quite some time. They are more difficult. yet they are in the same style. this is why I give a four star, because they are a bit too much on top for me; but then I have COPD and have to take this into account).
Become excited and heal your body and see it thrive and see your mood thrive!
