Fantastic!!5
I was recommended this book when pregnant by someone I sat next to on a plane. She told me her son slept through the night quite early on and that she now buys this book as a gift whenever one of her friends is pregnant. I now feel the same. This book worked for us in every way. It really helps you to feel some element of control in the early, hazy, exhausted stage. After following this 'routine' (although very flexible, it's not in any way close to the Gina Ford militant meaning of routine) our son was a happy, calm and thoroughly contented baby (who also slept through the night). I'd recommend this book wholeheartedly to anyone with a newborn baby.

It worked for us!4
Looking for a way to get your baby to eat, play and sleep well- this is the book for you. This is a wonderful book that allows you to understand how and why babies work and what you need to do to support them towards becoming a happy, healthy baby. Its an easy read that gets right to the point.

If you don't want a strict routine but would like some predictability in your new life as a parent this is perfect. Its all about the 3 step cycle - just read and you'll see what I mean.

A most excellent book, I can't wait to read the others in the series.

An invaluable resource for parents of new babies5
This is the first in the 'Babywise' series by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam. We have used this book with all three of our daughters (the youngest is 6 months). All three have been sleeping 12 hours at night by 12 weeks, had good daytime sleeps and are happy, healthy girls as a result. This book should probably be handed out by midwives during ante natal checks, the advice is full-proof. I know many people who have also used this book and they have all had success at getting their babies to sleep through. It is important to read the whole book and not just take snippets out of context. A must particularly for any first time parent! Highly recommended.
