A Bible?4
Well organised restaurant and hotel guide for the most part, apart from London where breaking it down into london boroughs is unhelpful. For the most part about 95% reliable, but some strange decisions made. have dined at a 2 star London Hotel restaurant, to me it should not be in the guide, let alone have 2stars.

Always good places, but slightly hard to use4
I've never been to a place in this guide that I haven't liked. However, it's sometimes a bit hard to find places near you, since the places aren't marked on a map.

Hard to use2
I was really looking forward to receiving this guide, but was really disappointed with it when it came. It's just so difficult to use! They use so many codes, abbreviations and symbols that you have to keep checking to see what they mean, and the maps are over-complicated and contradictory. The worst thing about it though, is that the restaurants are listed by town, so unless you already know what restaurant you are looking for, it's completely useless. A broader classification, such as county, would be far more useful, as often when you are travelling around the UK you won't know the area very well, and so you won't know the names of all the towns and where you are likely to find the best restaurants. Also, if you are just looking for a food guide then you'll be annoyed by all the hotel and B&B listings that seem to take over most of the pages. If you're a foodie, I'd recommend the Good Food Guide 2010 instead as it's much easier to use (the restaurants are indexed in several different ways). The Michelin Guide is only really useful as a reference once you've found the name of a good restaurant elsewhere.
