CD Description
MOON IS THE NEW EARTH is the debut album by Rose Hill Drive, a retro-feeling indie rock trio from Boulder, Colorado, born of an apparent love of Led Zeppelin, the Who, and other classic rock stalwarts. The heavy, bluesy rock of these 12 songs owes much to the likes of the Black Crowes and My Morning Jacket. Highlights include the powerful "Laughing in the Streets". MOON IS THE NEW EARTH is available as a digital download, a standard CD, and a vinyl LP.

Delivery on the promise of album 15
I first heard these guys live, placed number three in the pecking order with The Answer and Roadstar. Despite not knowing a thing about them they blew me away and, in my opinion, the other bands.

In the raw live environment they really came across well so I was slightly disappointed on buying the debut when production took the edge off slightly. The album was still great, just failed to capture that live power.

The new album goes a long way to solving that but it's also stepped up to the plate in quality of songs.

There are loads of these 70's style revivalist bands around, some of them adding a slightly more modern feel or tempo to the material, but loads of them over produced and overblown and lacking subtlety. Every time i listen to this album it grows on me, every time i listen a new song rears it's head as my a potential favourite.

Personally, i think these guys top the list of 70's revivalist retro rockers and have a uniquness to the material that separates them from the pack. There are some great new band releases out there but in most instances, after a few listens, they just join the cd stack and get over looked in preference of the classic era Purple, Sabbath, Thin Lizzy and Rush, because they don't deliver start to finish.....and frankly whatever they do has been done better. It's difficult to put my finger on why but that's not going to happen with Moon Is The New Earth and the quality, variety and honesty of the individual songs, throughout the whole album, will find it sitting alongside the classics in my collection.

Can't wait to see this set live!!!

Woo Hoo! - Album Number Two!5
Received this on pre-order today direct from Megaforce Records. If you loved the first album, you certainly wont be disappointed with this second release from Rose hill Drive.

Straight into the good stuff with 'sneak out' with poweful riffs & the 70's rock sound that is fast becoming RHD's own.

Stand out tracks are Sneak out, I'm on To You, Altar Junkie but there is no filler on this record - it's all good - pounding bass, shredding guitar solos & a mean rythm from the drummer.

It gets better with every listen

Get yourself a copy - if you dig a bit of good old fashioned rock, but with a modern twist - you'll love this

Great Second Album5
I have very much appreciated this cd by Rose Hill Drive, whilst the first album had a sound that could be compared to new groups on the scene like Black Mountain, Wolfmother and Black Stone Cherry. All groups with a southern rock 7o sound. I find this 2nd album much closer to a Zepp sound and the more you listen to it the more you get hooked to it.
I find them very similar to the new Irish group called the Answer, only these chaps come from the states.
I suggest you invest some money in these guys and you won*t be disaapointed at all.
