More fantastic books for teenagers
The ResistanceThe Resistance by Gemma Malley
Buy new: £9.99 / Used from: £0.01
I think that this is a brilliant continuation in the series (not sure if there is going to be another) and is just as good as "The Declaration"
The HostThe Host by Stephenie Meyer
Buy new: £3.82 / Used from: £1.23
I like hoe Stephenie Meyer writes and so read this. It did not disapoint and is easily as good as her other books! The 2nd time around there may have been a few tears at times!
Breaking Dawn (Twilight Saga)Breaking Dawn (Twilight Saga) by Stephenie Meyer
Buy new: £6.99 / Used from: £6.49
I like this book because it ties off the series but you have to ensure that you are sat near a bucket and at times have to look carefully to see throught the mushy love story to see any deeper meaning
Nineteen MinutesNineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
Buy new: £4.96 / Used from: £0.01
I love how Jodi Picoult does different chapters from different points of view and this book is one of her best. Eyes mey well up at some points.
Perfect MatchPerfect Match by Jodi Picoult
Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £1.39
A deeply emotive (possibly tear provoking) book following what parents will do to protect their child.
Drums, Girls and Dangerous PieDrums, Girls and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick
Buy used from: £0.01
I have read this book twice now and it made me cry (both times) but is one of the best books i have read in a while.
Before I DieBefore I Die by Jenny Downham
Buy new: £4.70 / Used from: £0.01
To say that this made me cry would be an understatment. I couldn't put it down and so was crying for nearly 45 minutes whilst finishing it and afterwards. Despite this it is definitely worth reading!
Looking for AlaskaLooking for Alaska by John Green
Buy new: £4.28 / Used from: £2.41
For the half you are wondering why each chapter is "x days before". Then you realise and spend the next third of the book sobbing. Very good but i am still trying to figure some of it out.
Wicked LovelyWicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
Buy used from: £2.30
A superb book despite the sometimes alarming way some of the women are treated meaning that one of my friends both refuses to read it and wants to rip it up!
Marked (House of Night)Marked (House of Night) by P.C. Cast
Buy new: £2.99 / Used from: £1.73
A very good series which some say is like Twilight but without the alarming mush.
Vampire KissesVampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber
Buy used from: £1.74
Another vampire related book but with a lot more laughs than Twilight and which seems deeper with more rounded characters.
Lock and KeyLock and Key by Sarah Dessen
Buy new: £4.24 / Used from: £2.52
I am Sarah Dessen obsessed and loved this book because it shows that sometimes you do need to accept help even when you don't think you need it.
This LullabyThis Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
Buy new: £3.97 / Used from: £0.50
A wonderfull book which just goes to show that relationships don't have to fall apart but can surprise you.
The Boy in the Striped PyjamasThe Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne
Buy new: £4.26 / Used from: £1.78
The is an outstanding book in which you learn of the innoncence of a 9-year-old boy and discover long before he does what is going on. And (surprise surprise) it made me cry!
Skulduggery Pleasant (Skulduggery Pleasant - book 1)Skulduggery Pleasant (Skulduggery Pleasant - book 1) by Derek Landy
Buy new: £4.86 / Used from: £1.34
Absolutely hilarious. I read it while lots of my family were in the house and they kept coming in to see what was so funny!
InkheartInkheart by Cornelia Funke
Buy new: £4.19 / Used from: £0.01
A good book which has made me want to read the other two because although you could stop at just Inkheart once you know that there are two more you want to read them to see if you get more conclusion.
ChocolatChocolat by Joanne Harris
Buy new: £5.08 / Used from: £0.01
Very good book which is written from different points of view (there are diffent images at the start of chapters so you know at the start... if you notice) which makes you want to read the second one.
The Lollipop Shoes (US title is The Girl With No Shadow)The Lollipop Shoes (US title is The Girl With No Shadow) by Joanne Harris
Buy new: £5.15 / Used from: £0.01
It could have been better and a lot less comfusing but is definitely worth reading so that you get the conclusion from the first one (Chocolat).
Let's Get Lost (Bite)Let's Get Lost (Bite) by Sarra Manning
Buy new: £3.97 / Used from: £0.01
A very good and moving book although it isn't one which sticks with you for very long afterwards.
ElsewhereElsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
Buy new: £4.69 / Used from: £0.01
An outstanding book which has you thinking the whole way through. Although some of the characters aren't as rounded as they could be it is definitely worth the read (and the tears).
Memoirs of a Teenage AmnesiacMemoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin
Buy new: £4.69 / Used from: £0.01
A great book which just makes you wonder what you would do if you lost the last four years of your life and had to work out why on earth you were doing the things you did.
Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson)Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson) by Louise Rennison
Buy new: £4.23 / Used from: £0.01
I have to confess that i have read the first four in this series after seeing the film and liked them mostly for the laughs as oppose to the somewhat boring storyline.
