Don't buy this!!
After having used this a few times now, I am not impressed in the slightest. The "Thermos" only keeps the food warm for an hour!!!! By the time it gets to lunch time, my poor daughter had stone cold food. At first I thought that maybe she was opening the flask and letting the warm air out, so I tried it myself. I pre-heated the Thermos with boiling water, and after 30 minutes, I poured the water out and replaced it with more boiling water. I screwed the lid on tight, and left it. A couple of hours later I checked on the temperature, and the water was only luke warm. I am very disappointed with this, as what I thought was a good buy has turned out to be a waste of money.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

ONLY RECOMMENDED FOR COLD FOOD
Thermos only recommend this product for keeping food cold.If you want to keep food hot you should use their coolkidz steel jar. As a way to keep food cold for your kids its great. Perfect size for pasta/rice salads etc. in the summer.The spoon in the lid is great for parents like me who always forget to put one in their childs bag!!

Not for hot food
I bought 2 of these for my children from another online retailer specifically for keeping food hot for packed lunches. However when they arrived one of the labels on them stated that they were not recommended for hot food. I got my money refunded and was able to keep them. I now use them for fruit salad and the like - however they are a bit bulky for lunchboxes.
