Customer Reviews
Worringly addictive
I usually like my music heavier than this, yet I can't stop listening to this album. It's the sort of music I'd normally feel guilty listening to, but hey, it's summer. Everyone needs some hyperactiveness in their lives and this does it perfectly. There's some really sweet songs on the album as well which actually don't make me gag. Hellogoodbye are also really good live and they seem like really funny guys. They just had everyone jumping up and down smiling, it was a great atmosphere.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is give this album a chance, even if you're normally into louder, faster, heavier, shoutier music. It's worth it just to jump around to.
I shouldn't like this! Yet I love it!
Now I'm the kind of guy who likes indie/rock, like Bloc Party and the Used, and dislikes most pop and nearly all electro. But there is just something about HG that I love! I first heard HelloGoodbye on Kerrang, which is a really odd place to hear it, at first I thought they were playing a really old song, as HelloGoodbye sounds like something from the 90's (which is what I grew up with in the backgroudn), but I found out that it was brand new! I then decided to take a risk and buy the album - I was not dissapointed!
The album has a mix of sounds, some are very electro, like Here in your arms, whilst others are accoustic like Oh it is love. the lead singer often uses a vocoder, which does sound good, but the good thing is he doesn't over use it, as there are many songs where he uses his natural voice, which sounds great! The whole feel of the album is a very happy one, with a lot of the songs talking about love, similer to Cute is what we aim for, but it all turns out good. Yet for some reason, and I don't know why, there is a emo feel just creeping around? Anyway, if you want something completly different, buy this, you wont be dissapointed!
Baby, Its fact!
This album is great! Bubblegum music at its best! Can't stop listening to it..its funky and makes me smile :)
