DVD Description
When Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry) moves to a new neighbourhood with his mum and stepfather, his first priority is to make friends and learn to play baseball. A local team needs an extra player but when Scotty tries to impress them with his baseball skills he is laughed off the sandlot. Luckily, the team’s best player, Benny Rodriguez (Mike Vitar), takes Scotty under his wing and teaches him the basics. So follows a long idyllic summer of adventures and fun involving baseball, treehouse sleep-ins, a snooty rival Little League team and an attractive lifeguard at the local pool. The fun is interrupted when Scotty hits his stepfather’s autographed Babe Ruth baseball over the fence at the back of the sandlot and straight into the lair of ‘The Beast’, a snarling canine from hell. Using various home-made devices, the team attempt to retrieve the ball before Scotty’s stepfather finds out what has happened!

Best kids film ever made!5
Forget.. E.T, this is the greatest kids movie ever made... This movie encapsulates all the coolness of being a kid as well as being really funny and honest. It's like a funny version of a cross between the wonder years and stand by me... It seems stupid cuz this film really isn't exactly complex... infact it's sooo simplistic but soooo watchable... I've seen it about a million times and I still love it... If you got kids buy it for them now!!! If not buy it anyway cuz I promise unless your a heartless boring person you'll love it too! The synopsis may not even sound great but I promise you the homour and story is nailed. Best Kids film ever!!

An addictive film5
A fantastic film i can watch it over and over its a film for all the family and the plot is fantastic along with the cast and crew

Oh, to be young again.4
I watched this film for the first time years ago and have loved it since. It's just a fun movie about a neighborhood full of kids who didn't have 500 cable channels to fry their brains, so they collected bottles to gather .98 cents to get a new ball everytime they hit it into the junkyard behind the Sandlot. The highlight of the film was when Squint faked his drowning so he could smooch the hottie lifeguard. Sit down with your kids and watch it frequently.
