Amazon.co.uk Review
All Access Europe is a behind-the-scenes look at rap sensation Eminem as he travels through Europe on his 2001 tour. Joined by his crew D12, the controversial MC lets the cameras roll as he and his entourage traipse through such places as Hamburg, Oslo, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Manchester and London. Much of the action is shot on hand-held camera which captures the posse hanging out backstage, getting drunk/stoned, rehearsing in empty stadiums and performing in front of immense and adoring crowds. We also get to see Em drop his pants--twice.

While this is entertaining at times, it's hardly insightful. Sporadic interviews reveal aspects of Slim that we already knew: that the interview/media process bores him; that Dido helped his career out as much as he helped hers with "Stan". The best aspect of this slightly lacklustre release is the constant soundtrack that the live footage offers: Em and D12 perform all the classics here like "The Way I Am" (with Marilyn Manson), "Stan" (with Dido), "I'm Back", "Devil's Night", "The Real Slim Shady" and hordes of others, showing himself a capable performer and a truly inspirational rapper.

On the DVD: Eminem's devilish symbols of subversion are all over this DVD, from the chainsaw-map on the inside jacket to the suspicious looking capsules that indicate the menu options. Special features are live performances of "Purple Pills" and "Forget About Dre" (featuring the good Doctor himself), a gallery of still photos and, desperately enough, a "cast and crew" section which is basically a rolling list of credits. The sound quality isn't bad with Dolby Stereo 2.0 and the video aspect ratio is 4:3 but it's hard not to feel that the one-hour-38-minute running time would benefit from being reduced by half an hour. --Paul Sullivan

Synopsis
One of the most controversial performers to storm onto the pop music scene at the turn of the 21st century, Detroit rapper Eminem is a ground breaking, volatile talent. ALL ACCESS EUROPE is a film of Slim Shady/Marshall Mather's 2002 European concert tour, which took him to towns including Oslo, Hamburg, Manchester, and Paris. Armed with his chainsaw, Eminem performs stirring renditions of hits like "Stan," "The Way I Am," and "Purple Pills."

Not What I Thought2
This is going to be a short and to the point review. The DVD is good in many ways because it summarises the whole 2001 Europe Tour into one DVD and highlights the best mooments. It has a lot of behind the scenes footage and the camera is absolutely EVERYWHERE so you really get a good idea about what goes on when the crowd is gone and the spotlights are off.
One thing that really put me off is that it didn't have much of the concert footage. I mean it was the European tour right? It didn't have a single song in full, and had tiny clips every now and then. I enjoyed watching the backstage scenes of D12 and the crew hanging out, chilled and joking around with eachother and commenting on the tour. Even enjoyed the 10 second clips of Eminem's interview. But where's the actual "Tour" ? Well its up to each person. Opinions differ. Mine didn't quite feel like I got my money's worth. Thanks for reading.

Wanna See Slim Shady or Just Roadies On Tour ?2
If you are longing to see over an hour and a half of “Fly-on-the-wall Handycam of Eminem’s Roadies on European Tour” well this is the DVD for you !

However, if you are hoping to see Slim “strut his stuff on stage live” then we would suggest that you invest your hard-earned cash elsewhere !

Being an avid Eminem fan we mistakenly bought this DVD thinking we would see Slim Shady, on tour, all over Europe doing what he does best… “Performing his Amazing Stage Act”

Unfortunately we were to be sorely disappointed.

The title should have been “Fly-on-the-wall Handycam of Eminem’s Roadies on European Tour” as, instead of seeing the “best seven live performances” from Slim Shady’s “European Tour” of six countries in Europe, we were treated to a “Beavis & Buthead” type documentary.

Yes we did see three live songs and two special features but it was a little too steep.

In our opinion, Eminem is a very “visual” performer, and we were looking forward to seeing some great stagecraft, in reaction to a European audience.

The fly-on-the-wall “behind the scenes” footage, where the camera is absolutely everywhere DOES give you a little insight to the “Roadies-Eye-View” of how Eminem behaves on tour, and you get an feel for how Slim reacts off-stage. But it becomes a little stale after the first couple of venues.

But what was really disappointing was that there was hardly anything of the “actual concerts”.

The title “All Access Europe” led us to believe that we would see the “European Tour”, however, there was not a single tour stage act in full, just snippets and tiny clips every now and then.

Yes we enjoyed watching the backstage scenes of the crew chilling and joking around with each other with their comments on the tour. Yes we enjoyed the staccato clips of Eminem's interview.

But what we really felt was “cheated” that we had NOT seen any “Stagecraft” of the actual "Tour".

Best DVD on Eminem ever!!!!4
This DVD is the best I ever saw on Eminem. Its a DVD about his tour in Europe. U really get to understand how he acts when he is with his friends and how it is backstage. U even understand that he really likes his fans. And u see him having some problems with the police. But u will never see him fall, he continues in his tour without stopping a sec.
This is an Item that fans of Eminem should have. Buy this its awsome and its not so expensive either.
P.S.- Eminem rocks!
