Not The Full History
Not a bad history but it only takes you up to the mid-1960s! There is none of the Ford GT40 era, nor the Porsche domination, nor the Group Cs...let alone the Audi domination of the current decade. Slightly misleading in my mind as it only covers half the story - although it does that well with some really interesting footage. Just be informed before you purchase this.

A Pitiable Roundabout

This is a not very well produced programme in which the commentator can't pronounce names or places in a language not his own and the action is often out of sync with the captions or the commentary. Several times shots of one race were shown as being part of another which, with so much material available is not really necessary and therefore unforgivable.

It could have been that my copy was badly reproduced but I have seen much of the footage used here in other productions and the quality then was much better.

Compared with "A Gentleman's Motor Racing Diary" [for instance] it really isn't worth even the cheap price quoted. The programme should be an incentive to find out more about the 24 Hours of Le Mans if the viewer is truly interested in motor racing history.
