Manufacturer's Description
This easy-to-use all-metal bulb planter is brought to you by Draper Tools. The spade-like treads of the planter mean that you can use your foot to apply pressure, and let your body weight do most of the work. The long handle means you reduce the need to bend, making the task of planting much easier. The loop handle makes it easier to put in to the ground.

Although the planter is extremely lightweight, it is manufactured from tough chrome-plated carbon steel; it is also weatherproof and easy to clean.

Box Contains

  • 1 x Long Handled Bulb Planter

    long handled bulb planter4
Found this tool excellent but would suggest adapting cutting edge i.e. serrated/dog toothed, as I personally found it a bit difficult on impacted soil (I have back problems). My husband used it with more ease, turning the handle back & forth. He is going to machine the "cutting edge" to make it easier for me, but, overall, very good value for money!
We haven't found a similar tool in any local garden centres.

Have not found this as useful as I had hoped, but that is probably because of my heavy clay soil making core removal difficult on second hole. The long handled type easier then hand tool as at least you can force it into ground.
    But a good well-made sturdy tool none-the-less.

    Poorly made and designed1
After trying to plant one bulb the nuts and bolts holding the handle to the blade came loose. After tightening them I attempted to plant a second bulb, this time the handle bent at the point where the top nut and bolt are located. Now useless.
