The definitive Construction reference book5
This book is the definitive reference source for anyone working within the construction industry. Beautifully written and illustrated, its extensive use of diagrams and illustrations really help the reader to understand a broad range of construction practices and techniques. This book will appeal to construction professionals and site craftsmen alike, covering an extensive range of techniques and technologies, both traditional and modern.
This is also an excellent reference and information resource for all students who want to work within the construction industry, as relevant to vocational apprentices undertaking NVQ's to technicians studying BTEC Higher Nationals.
It covers everything from planning applications and building regulations to foundations, ground water control, brickwork, glazing and roofing, in fact every facet of construction you could think of. A first class buy.

Helped me fill in the gaps.5
This book really helped fill a few gaps in my knowledge. It gives infomation in a clear way with several pictoral representations. I would highly recommend this to anbody who needs to fill in the gaps in there construction knowledge.

Excellent drawings and Diagrams5
If you FEAR books loaded with pages of text then maybe this book is for you. There are excellent, clearly labeled drawings and sketches on almost every page. These aid faster understanding of the subject without pages of reading. An exemplar of how drawings are key to communication in the Built Environment. The book is excellent for Built Environment students from National Diploma level upwards. The book is an excellent introduction to all aspects of buidling construction from initial design decisions, through key elements of design to work on site. Here again the excellent drawings bring to life the subject for those who have not yet seen the details of builings and the building process on site.
