Not as good as they used to be
I have recently lost my Waddingtons No.1 playing cards which I have owned for 19 years. I bought these to replace them, and I am a trifle disappointed in the quality. My original No.1 cards were of a similar plastic coated linen finish, and over 19 years and many many shuffles & deals not one card showed any sign of wear & tear and absolutely no separating of the laminated surfaces.
Several cards in the new poker deck have started to split or delaminate on the 1st shuffle! Unbelievable! If you're buying these cards as a poker sized deck and don't expect a lot for your money then they're fine. If you are buying them because you want them to last and remain in good condition then stay well clear.

Top quality cards
Although I didn't buy mine from Amazon (I got mine from WH Smith), these cards are exactly as it says on the pack - premium quality. A nice, silky and textured feel to the laminated nylon cards and they shuffle like a dream. No problems with quality in any respect. I don't know why anyone would think the quality of these cards is any different from the 'normal' "Number 1" cards, maybe this supplier has an inferior stock of these cards (possibly "seconds") ?

Not as good as plastic cards
I bought these cards as I thought plastic cards was too expensive, I have later bought real plastic cards, as these are good quality but they are not as durable, I would recommend people who is serious about playing cards to buy plastic instead of these.
