Customer Reviews
Three of a kind, not a royal flush.
Although advertised as "clay", these chips seem to be more like a very hard dense plastic. They are at least plastic coated, (possibly like a plasticoat paint). Each chip is not quite as weighty as I thought, although the full set is quite heavy. They are not brightly coloured, and are a little grubby looking, although they are clearly brand new.
Each chip has a plastic sticker in the centre to show its value, and they make a nice satisfying chink when they hit the baize.
They feel quite nice in your hand, and are better than any chips you get in a cheap poker set, but they are definately NOT casino quality. They are worth the money, but I wish I had spent more, and got a 14g set, not 11.5.
Very good for the price
Pleasantly surprised by this set, especially as it was half the price of comparable poker sets. The chips have a nice feel and weight and the case is good. The playing cards supplied feel a bit nasty but that doesn't bother me too much as you can pick up a pack of plaing cards easily for very little. Overall it is a good set for a very good price.
11.5g numbered poker chips
I cant quite put my finger on it but I feel somehow dissapointed with this product...or perhaps "underwhelmed" is a better expression.
In objective terms, they are just what you would expect, which is a case full of mid weight fair quality poker chips at a very good price (the best I have found for the size of pack).
But.......
A few thing have left me more than a little disatisfied. For a start, all the chips (plus the inside of the case) are coated in a black dust which must have been picked up whilst the chip rolls were in storage in some vast "chip mountain".
Then there is the numbers, these are simply stickers placed in the indented circle at the centre of each chip...although there is nothing truely wrong with the stickers, they just feel a little like an after-thought and have a fairly unflattering "matt" finish.
On top of that, the case that i recieved was badly cracked and damaged on the inside front edge and had small "pimple" dents all over the outer surface.
Lastley theres the weight, I placed these in my own electronic scales (yes I do need to get out more!!) and the weighed in at 10g...but I suppose that could be as much down to my scales inaccuracey, so why split hairs over 1.1g...after all, they feel just as heavy as any other "real" poker chips I have ever used.
On the plus side.
The overall quality of the case is good' n' tuff (apart from the crack and dents) the chips feel good, sound great and stack really nicely...just as you would want...plus the item was delivered in lightning speed only 48 working hours despite an expectation of 5 days...result!!... plus they came with a dealer button which i didnt expect
In summary, I guess my expectations were just a little too high given the price of this item ....and all things considered I will be happy to use these to play with all my friends (both of them!!)and so I guess they represent a fair quality gameing chip that feels like the real deal for a very good price.
Just dont get me started on the decks that came with them, they are already in the bin and replaced with a couple of my own.
