Perfect for a home network
I wanted a quality network printer for use on a small home network - 2 PCs and a laptop using a mix of ethernet cabling and WiFi to connect to my router. I chose this HP 6940 based on good reviews and relatively cheap ink cartridge consumable costs.

The printer itself has various good design points and both looks and feels like a quality product. It took about 20 minutes to set up, plus 10 minutes per PC installing the drivers. The installation software made this simple, and the installed applications work exactly as they should.

The picture quality is great, and the output works seamlessly from all my PCs. I could not be happier. Strongly recommended.

Highly Recommended
I bought this printer about 4-5 months ago and have to say I am really impressed with its performance. I use it every day and print off on average 8-10 pages of B&W and about 4-5 pages of colour per day so the ink cartridges have lasted well, having only needed to change them once since I bought it. The machine itself looks and feels robust and has the benefit of printing envelopes and A5(half size) paper too. The back comes off easily to remove jams and the machine is really fast compared to my last HP printer and fairly quiet too. One tip though - the printer came with an ethernet cable only but not a USB (A-B)one which I needed so I had to purchase this separately. I am delighted with this printer and can thoroughly recommend it!

Excellent Product
If you need a network printer that is easy to set up then this is it.

Just plug in the supplied ethernet cable into the printer and into your network router or hub/switch, install the software from CD and 10 minutes later you are up and running.

If you have more than one PC on your network all you need to do is install the software onto each PC and job done, I set up 4 PCs in about half an hour with no problems.
