About the Author
Martin MacIntyre is one of the emerging stars of contemporary Scottish writing. Born in 1965, he was brought up in Lenzie near Glasgow. With strong South Uist connections on his father's side, he took a keen early interest in Gaelic. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Aberdeen in 1988, followed by further qualification in Broadcasting and Gaeltachd Studies from Sabhal Mor Ostaig, the Gaelic college in Skye, in 1992. He also writes poetry and is a talented story teller and traditional singer.
