From the Author
Volume Three of the Oxfords Blues Trilogy is set between the years 1983 and 1985 against the backdrop of the UK's National Coal Miners strike of 1984-1985. Now as the protagonists journey approaches its epic climax his world is penetrated by a mercurial force of evil personified as an evil Harlequin trickster, in the avatar form of a fellow senior police officer - who sets out firstly to destroy his relationship to his police recruit son, then his marriage, then his career, and finally his whole world. The books epic showdown is of truly mythic proportions as the battle is fought for possession and use of the ancient Celtic Cauldron of Rebirth - which has power not only of life death and rebirth, but also over all polarised opposites both in the human psyche and in nature itself. At last the whole truth of his identity is revealed to him as he must face his evil antithesis in the most desperate fight of his life.
