    Disappointingly lightweight3
I bought these knives as a "starter set" for a budding chef. Whilst the blades are certainly sharp, the knives themselves do not have the heavy chunky feel I associate with a great quality cooks knife. They are not particularly well-balanced, and the slimline handle is not a comfortable fit in your hand. Despite the Sabatier branding, they feel flimsy, and are not of the quality i would expect from such a reputable manufacturer.
Still, you get what you pay for, I suppose, and these, whilst not cheap, are still relatively competitively priced.

    Poor Quality1
One of these knives broke clean in half when using to crush a piece of garlic. It was a real disapointment, but i wasn't too concerned because of their much touted guarantee. Unfortunately, Richardson Sheffield had failed to replace the faulty item under guarantee. In my opinion, the guarantee is worthless and knives could be better.

    **Update**
Richardson Sheffield replaced the faulty knife under their guarantee policy - eventually

the best knives i have ever used5
These are the best knives i have ever used.
They are so sharp they cut through just about anything just like it was butter.
    I would highly recommend them.
