Editorial Reviews
From the Publisher
Please note that this amazing book is suitable for both the
web-designing fraternity and those with no computing skills whatsoever. If
you are new to the Internet world, you might like to skip some of the
technical detail in this handbook and focus more on the material relating
to marketing and attracting visitors to your site. If, on the other hand,
you are already familiar with the aesthetics side of web-design, you should
read every word of this book to learn more about the business side and
watch your or your clients' websites grow in popularity.

wanted to know how to make money online, I'd get this 120-page powerhouse
and act on every tip in it."- Dr. Joe Vitale, Best-selling Author Spritual

Customer Reviews
Excellent for beginners
This book probably should have been called 'beginners guide to website promotion.'
While it had a wealth of information for people just learning to put a basic website together, it didn't teach me anything new, as I already had a moderate knowledge in that field.
If you don't already know some ways to drive traffic to your website, then you will learn a lot of fundemental information from this book.
Great book to start you off
I think some reviewers don't really get the idea of this very straightforward book. Before you buy a weighty encyclopedia of Web Optimisation promising you that it's easy to do it yourself, read this handbook first-it will only take you an hour and a half.
Sure, if you then decide you do want to go ahead and optimise your own website (madness, unless you have bags of free time) then you will need to get some more detailed and up-to-date info...but you can get this for free on the web.
However, if, like me, you decide after reading the Ultimate Web, you don't have the time or can't be bothered to do it yourself, then at least you will have had a very good grounding in the basics of Search Engine Optimisation. This is really useful if you are going to employ a professional SEO. It will mean you will totally understand what they are talking about.
Highly recommended.
Exactly what you need...
I found the book to be really good in helping you see the benefits of getting your stuff seen by many people, helping you understand tagging and how search engines work so you can really make the most of search engines ..
Its not an over complicated book, written in simple English, and easy to understand. Its not a bulk, which so many books are, and doesnt really confuse you. Gets to the point and easy to use.
With regards to the previous review about complaining about spelling and how it uses "uk english" and spelling "programme" and not program.. its not an English book, and if that bothers you, pay an extra couple of quid for the USA import..its really not an issue with the book.
There are other books which focus more on specifics and are more detailed, but this book is simple, 128 pages which are easy to understand.. you wont find yourself getting bored of it..
Enjoy and hope they get to do a new version focused on Web 2 and widgets etc
