Customer Reviews

Average stick, but Tekken 6 is great.4
Where should I start. If you played Tekken as long as I have then you will still love this outing. However, I am here to review the HORI wireless stick, which sadly i should not have brought, considering I already have the SF4 TE. Anyway, I will give a rough comparison, although we have to remember the SF4 TE is an all out SANWA rig, while the Tekken6 is a HORI.

First thing you will notice is that the Tekken6 stick feels allot lighter and in some way does not have that hefty feel to it like the SF4 TE. I've been playing with the SF4TE and it feels robust and solid. I've actually given the SF4TE some real punishment and it still feels the same. The T6-Hori does not have that solid feel and it felt a bit flimsy.

While using it on Tekken6 it seems fine, I mean it feels like a Hori stick, but like nothing like the HRAP3. There is no Input lag I noticed and I'm pretty good at Tekken6 and SF4 (By the way the T6-Hori is compatbile with SF4 and works fine with it). It isn't a bad stick, I mean it's still great; it looks very nice, but just doesn't have that arcade feel to it, like the SF4TE (I guess we've been spoiled with the SF4TE). Also, I'm curious if it will outlast the SF4TE. I guess it might, I mean HORI don't make cheap sticks, they still have a long shelf life.

Is it worth the money, in my view "NOT REALLY". As the SF4TE is relatively cheap, and you can pick one up for £80 nowadays, so I would easily recommend the SF4TE over the T6-Hori.

Only nice thing about it is that is wireless and you dont have the wire hanging, especially handy with kids in the house. But, you would probably end up using AA batteries more than you'd like and that i guess comes down to be less eco-friendly(well you could use rechargeables).

If you have the SF4TE, then no point getting this, even if you haven't I would still recommend the SF4TE.

If the price comes down by 40% then why not, having a wireless stick for some people may be a deciding factor.

But for now the SF4TE reigns supreme, who would have thought a MadCatz product would turn up this good....
