You never thought it would turn out like this - an all-out chase where you're the hunted. And the hunter. Now you must get behind the wheel and risk everything to infiltrate a ruthless international crime syndicate and take them down. The man you're after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he's driving like his life depends on escape, which maybe it does. He's the one with all the answers you need, you will track him down. Needless to say, that fleet of police cruisers in your rearview mirror won't make things any easier. It will take all of your experience - and every ounce of skill - to outrun the law, take down the enemy, and unlock the truth that puts an end to this chase once and for all.
- Go Deep Undercover: Race into an action-packed story of pursuit and betrayal. Take on jobs and compete in races to prove yourself as you infiltrate and take down an international crime syndicate.
- Highway Battle: Fight off the cops and others as you take down your prey in high-speed, high stake multi-car chases. New and vastly improved A.I. mechanics mean more aggressive and intelligent cops focused on taking you out fast and by any means necessary.
- Own the Open World: Tear across the massive highway system and discover the open world of the Gulf Coast Tri-Cities area, with three unique cities connected by an extensive highway system.

A good NFS game but could do better
Okay I bought this game yesterday with low expectations after reading the reviews on the web. Shortly after I started to play my concerns were put to rest.
Undercover is a HUGE improvement on Pro-street, the NFS franchise has returned the racing to the streets and gone back to how things were, and it is much better for it. Admittedly the open world could be so much better as there doesn't seem to be a reason for it, except of course to test your cars and cause trouble with the police, it would have been better if they had designed the world so you can drive to events and races like they do in GTA... but I guess you cant have everything.
For NFS fans your going to love this game, it's what I wanted from Pro-street and never got. Admittedly it's not the best game of this genre on the market but you will still get a lot of enjoyment from it and I don't think you will regret spending the money on it.
Okay time for geeky stuff the actual game graphics are excellent it's why I got a PS3 to enjoy games with a higher level of class, NFS undercover delivers and then some. The AI of the other drivers to start with is VERY easy, if this was a world war II game I could have walked to Berlin from London in 1939 and killed Hitler with out ever having a shot landed on me!, but thankfully it gets harder. At times there could be more civilian cars on the road but its not that big a problem as the traffic tends to go through busy and quite phases.
All in all I have given this a 4 star rating. Its not worthy of a 5 star rating because there are issues that need to be resolved such as the open world and AI level, but it is still a good game that will give even the best gamers a good time.
Don't waste your time and money
What a total and utter waste of time and money.
This game has very poor graphics which flicker and skip frames while try to over come its terrible animation speed when there is a lot of movement on screen. The car physics are awful and you can't even drift a car round corners. The upgrade are worthless and add no value to the cars. The game story line is dreadful. the upgrades like body kits are limited to 3 choices. The backgrounds are mountain passes or buildings that all look the same. All the missions and race are the same
EA should be ashamed of themselves for producing unimaginative drivel of the first order like this, which purely sell games due to the 'Need for speed' title. Its like they sat back after the first two Need for speed titles came out ( which were both outstanding and set a benchmark ), became complacent and victims of their own success.
Don't waste your money on this. Buy Midnight Club LA instead, thats a great title, full of life, great graphics, loads of different game play and wont get boring within 10 mins of play
What did you expect?
I bought this game yesterday and so far i love it. Ok, the graphics might nt quite be what they should on ps3 bt if u want a good looking racing game then get GT5 Prologue. It might not be the most realistic driving game out there - again if thats what you are after then get GT5. A lot of people have said there is a lack of traffic - if u want a crazy traffic full game then get Burnout. It is very simple, at the end of the day it depends what you want. I buy NFS games because they are fun, and not because they necessarily look good or are realistic. I have completed almost half the game in only 2 sessions, and i can hardly put it down, which means that they must have got the enjoyment factor right. It is by no means the best all round racing game on ps3, but it is good at what it does, which is the key. So if it is just a fun racing game that you want then get this, bt if u want a rly good looking or realistic racing game then don't; get GT5 instead.
