THE CAT LADY
Wally and Lisa Mackel ushered me into their living room at six o'clock the following evening. When I arrived, I was also introduced to Marlene, Bert, and Rob, a local ghost-busting team.
I asked Lisa, "Why do you want me here when you have a ghost-hunting team already?"
Lisa responded, "I thought it wouldn't hurt to have strength in numbers so we can catch the ghost."
I laughed. "One thing has nothing to do with the other. I usually work by myself."
I didn't think that Marlene, who was obviously the ghost-busting team leader, appreciated my comment. The members of the team shrugged and moved into another area of the house.
I explained about the ghost world and how I worked. "I can sense when the energy in a place is being disturbed. I can't make any promises, but I will do whatever I can do to help bring peace to your home."
As I sat with Lisa and Wally, a spirit came into focus and stood next to Lisa.
"There is a person by the name of Ralph here." I looked at Lisa. "He is in the light and is tied to you."
Lisa acknowledged Ralph. "Yes, he is my father, who has passed. I have called upon him many times to protect me and Wally from any evil in the house."
At that exact moment, Marlene and her team tramped through the living room. Marlene called out in a loud voice, "I'm not picking up any ghost energy by her."
"That's because you're not a medium," I answered.
"Whatever!" Marlene mumbled something derogatory about mediums and crystal balls.
"Ralph is telling me that there are two people, a man and a woman, who are causing the problems." As soon as he said this, Ralph then left rapidly, and we were left with even more questions.
Then I began to do my ritual for clearing a house. I walked through each room and registered the impressions I received. Then I walked into the back pantry, where I immediately picked up the energy of an older woman who was quite upset about something.
"It seems like she hangs out right here, going back and forth."
"Yes!" Lisa said. "The cupboards open and close every day at the same time. Right here!"
"Wow!" screamed Marlene. "How cool. Look, Lisa."
Marlene not only interrupted my investigation but was interfering with the energy of the room. Marlene did not have good energy. She showed Lisa and Wally an orb that Rob caught on the camera.
I walked into the living room, and once again I saw Ralph.
Who is stuck in the house? I asked him.
He explained to me, There's a woman here from the twenties. She is very angry because she used to have seventeen cats, and she can't find any of them. She thinks someone took them from her, and she won't leave until she finds them.
I thought to myself, She will never leave here.
Ralph continued. Her husband passed into the light and comes around to try to bring her over, but she doesn't see him because she is so obsessed over those cats.
When Wally and Lisa entered, I told them what Ralph said.
"Amazing," said Wally. "We'll have to check who the former owners were."
Marlene came by again, and I noticed there was something stuck to her. It seemed to be a low-level entity. I didn't dare say anything.
When she walked by me, she said, "Cats? You are so wrong."
Marlene and her "ghost-busting team" left the house, completely unaware that here was negative energy attached to her and one of her cameramen. Some ghostbusters.
Very shortly after they left, the real fun began. Wally, Lisa, and I were sitting on their couch as I explained the difference between earthbound ghosts and those who have passed into the light. Suddenly two cupboard doors opened in the pantry with a
smacking sound! We rushed there to look. Immediately, we all smelled the lovely scent of gardenias. Then I felt something cross in front of me.
"Ahhh!" Lisa screamed. She looked at me and said, "I felt someone walk right through me."
As I was about to assist her, the front door whooshed opened and banged against the wall. That startled everyone. As I looked toward the front door, I saw a young-looking gentleman, dressed in a tuxedo, holding out his hand. It dawned on me that this was the old lady's husband coming to bring her over.
I quickly sent a thought to the earthbound ghost. It is time for you to follow your husband home. He is here to rescue you. All your cats are with him.
Unfortunately, I did not receive any communication back from her, so I didn't know if my words had any effect.
As I kept my eyes on the husband, several different cats ran into the room and surrounded his feet. It was very odd. It felt like feeding time in a shelter. I kept sending the thought over and over to the old lady. I thought by then she must have seen her cats.
Then the husband smiled as he held out his hand once again. I knew at last that he was greeting his wife.
I turned to Wally and Lisa, but they seemed to know what I was about to say.
"She's gone, isn't she?" asked Lisa.
"I believe so," I responded.
"You can tell. It seems so much lighter in here."
I replied, "It's because she is where she should be."
The young couple were so appreciative and kept thanking me. As they ushered me out the front door, Lisa turned on the porch light. I looked down and gasped. There on the second step was a small brown bird; its neck was broken.
"Perhaps one of the cats left it here as a token of its love."

I love this book. It helps you to uderstand life after death. It also tells us that our loved ones are still with us, I could read this book over and over. It's great!

Thought provoking
This book definitely answers a lot of questions about life after death. It gives you a new perspective and removes fear and sorrow to know that our dearly departed are around us. They have not gone, they are in the next room. Reassuring.

More To Life Than Mere Mortality
I love books about this sort of stuff, and this one was intriguing. While no one can truly know for certain exactly what lies in the spirit realm (without being a spirit themselves), this book comes close to revealing what can be learned ghosts, spirits and aparitions. Definitely worth a read whether you believe in ghosts or not.
