Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
The main focus of this book is to provide students with all the skills they need to achieve higher marks, question by question. The key is using students' answers with specific mark-building guidance rather than the model answer approach.

Customer Reviews

Extremely poor subject coverage1
This book does not take into account the way this syllabus is taught.
It has only one example question per topic in module 4, and does not even discuss each of those examples. Provides no revision tips, or key topics.
In module 5 the topic coverage is mildly better, but still rather thin on the ground.
I wouldn't bother with this book. A-Level Psychology in Diagrams is a much better option, and past papers a much better bet than the questions given.

Do A2 PSychology Brillianlty4
This is an excellent book for students and I highly recommend it to A2 level students (and all of my students).
It addresses all key areas and issues and not only gives you the facts but then the past questions and sample answers to support them.
It does not go into the depth of a class text book, because it IS a revision guide.
It would serve as a great guide to anyone revising or needing an alternative to their normal text.

It is a small, light weight book, packed with essential information to help you get an A.
It is also colourful and easy to read.

very helpful indeed4
i found this book very helpful. i ended up getting top marks in all my psychology papers. what i found particularyl good was the fact that the book gives step by step guidance on how to wright a proper essay and score the relevant marks ie ..AO1 AO2 and AO3. it also provides student answers that are incorrect thus highlighting common errors and pitfalls to avoid.
having said that what i found dissapointing was that it did not cover a wide enough array of topics. psychology being a very broad subject , teachers can pick and choose which modules to pick and unfortunatley not many of my particular modules were covered in the book. however i was not too grately dissapointed by this becuase it forced me to learn from different perspectives by using techniques shown in essays not relavant to me and applying them to my own learning; which at the end of the day i belive to be the most constructive form of learning.
i must say though that the book is not a miracle worker that can magically transorm your grades in the space of a couple of weeks. it must be used in conjuction with a good textbook and classroom notes during exam revision well in advance of the actual exams. good luck!
