Amazon Customer Review (Amazon Customer Review )
This is the best AS book I've seen. Our college has all the main texts but this one's the easiest to understand and the best laid out. It lives up to its title of including essential material for the exam - definitely worth buying. (Amazon Customer Review )

Customer Reviews
Essential Psychology for AS is the best book ever!!
This book is so fantastic, believe me!! For starters, everything is nicely laid out with bullet points and colour pages etc. This is ideal to be used as a textbook or a revision guide. The best part of this book, which sold itself to me was the model 18 mark answers at the back of the book. It contains around 6-8 model answers for each topic (i.e for memory, attachments, stress etc.)and focuses on the main (most frequent) questions that have come up in previous exams. I have just had my unit 1 exam and for preparation for it, I typed up all the model answers for memory and attachments from the book and added extra details/expanded on points in the essays to ensure that the model answers would achieve 18/18 from an examiner. Then I did some serious revision of the answers, and guess what? The actual 18 mark questions came up in the exam. Remember as each unit is relatively small, there can only be a limited number of 18 mark questions they can actually ask you!
However to be honest I would suggest you bought another psychology book on top of this because if you are planning to use this as a textbook, although topics are explained well, the depth could be improved.
Ultimately I would buy this book even if it was three times the price, because I cannot stress enough the usefulness of the model answers - it will truly improve your grade.
Excellent!
This is the best book EVER, for AS Psychology!
Its got everything you need for the exam.
It well laid out, and fits the specification well.
It's definately worth its weight in gold and with a bit of hard work, an easy route to an 'A'!
(Make sure you are AQA exam board though:as different exam boards require you to learn different information and studies)
Definitely worth buying
This is the best AS book I've seen. Our college has all the main texts but this one's the easiest to understand and the best laid out. It lives up to its title by only including essential material for the exam - definitely worth buying. The bullet point, easy to read format really helps with exam prep. The sample exam answers are great - most of my revision will involve learning these!
