This is the 11th edition of the "AA Pub Guide". Fully updated for 2009, this full-colour guide provides clear and detailed descriptions of over 2,000 traditional countryside inns, taverns, gastro-pubs and welcoming hostelries, carefully selected on merit with no charge for inclusion. The guide also features inspected and rated accommodation, and makes use of useful symbols throughout such as AA Rosettes and Stars to indicate the quality of food and accommodation, and a wine glass to identify where a range of wines are available by the glass. Each entry includes information on opening times, prices and food.

AA Pub Guide (AA Lifestyle Guides)
Purchased this to update 2000 edition. Has plenty of pubs and covers the country well. Has some new additions and updates and I have found comments to be accurate.
A very good food guide
This is another good guide from the " AA Lifestyle range " A very good book especially for anybody who is looking for a place to eat as it has got an excellant list which covers most of great Britain as well as the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man .There is an Email,as well as prices to help to make your choice to stay very easy , a good detailed map is also included.
Can I trust this book?
The lay out and style are very easy to read and understand. I liked the extra walks and bike rides that were included as well. Unfortunately our local pub got a favourable review and in the 30 years I have lived in the village it has never come close to what was described in the book. In fact the pub even managed to receive a zero star rating from the Telegraph in 2005.
This was the first review I looked at and having completely disagreed with it I then found I could not trust anything else reviewed much less plan a walk, or trip based on their recommendation.
A great disappointment.
