Synopsis
After her father's death, Elfie Mason persuades wealthy land-owner's son Jacob Farrington to let her remain in the wild Fusedale valley as shepherdess. She is befriended by Mick Jarrow who's father farms at the foot of the valley. Soon the relationship turns to romance but always in the background is Jacob, trying to manipulate the girl to his own, devious advantage. A dramatic event leaves Mick thinking that Elfie has left him for Jacob and he subsequently leaves the area. Following a tragedy, Elfie discovers something that will change her future for the better but will her life be without the one person she truly loves?
