The man, the myth, the legend.
Fans of Most Haunted will recognise Richard Felix as the resident Historian in series 1-8. Now it appears he has left to do his own thing for better or worse. This DVD consists of highlights from previous Felix Films DVDs.

Mr Felix REALLY believes in the paranormal and loves nothing more than telling ghost stories. His great talent is recounting the historical events at a location in a sinister and creepy fashion. He wears a black leather trench coat and spends a lot of time in graveyards very late at night. It must be said that it is only his undying, or undead as the case may be, enthusiasm for the paranormal that carries the show. I was hoping to see some extraordinary phenomena, instead I saw nothing and heard almost nothing. Mr Felix simply talks to people who live or work at each location.

He visits the legendary Borley Rectory, Derby Goal (which he actually bought for some reason), Treasurer's House in York and six other locations. The highlight is probably when he spends the night at Berkeley Castle in the room where King Edward II was murdered. Some noises are recorded but could probably be explained scientifically. Unfortunately, Richard shares the room with a restless bat so doesn't get much sleep. It must be said that some viewers may find this DVD funny (yes, I'm afraid so). The sequence where he places some "flowers" on the grave of a woman who took her own life in Devon and the Jailer opening the door to Derby Gaol are two memorable moments.

I can't help thinking Mr Felix's DVDs cater for a niche market and a certain type of person. The production is low budget and the phenomena almost non-existent. This DVD is for fans of the inimitable Richard Felix only.

Absolute Rubbish!!
I bought this and the Ghosts of Devon DVD thinking that it would be a programme similar to the Most Haunted DVD's...If you have Insomnia try this, I was so bored waiting expectedly to actually be shown ghosts, phantoms, orbs, and all that type of thing but it is nothing like that!! It's just Felix walking round places, saying what went on in these places, you do not see anything at all and I don't get bored easily but this is one helluva boring yarn of watching Felix going from place to place. How misguided could I have been!! What a waste of money. If you want thrills and to be kept awake (if you don't have insomnia already)your best best is to get beer in and get sozzled instead.
