An excellent and informative book
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, could not put it down. My first litter of German Shepherds born last week, this book was by my side the whole time. It already has wonderful reviews so what more can I say!

We needed help in a hurry after discovering our dog was two weeks off whelping following an illicit liaison. Muriel P Lee is an experienced American dog breeder and her book proved invaluable, answering just about every question we'd come up with - and quite a few that had never crossed our minds. It's written in straightforward English (well, American-English), is intelligently illustrated and is as relevant if you're breeding for Crufts or, like us, heralding a new mix of Heinz 57. Don't whelp without it!

An excellent, hands - on book, full of practical advice.
I had my first litter of Newfoundland puppies last year. Like all first time mums I was determined to try to do my best but at the same time was worried about my inexperience. Muriel Lee's book helped me through what was a nerve racking but incredibly rewarding experience. It explains everything clearly with the excellent use of illustrations and photographs.A definite must for all those planning a litter!
