Pure silk in a CD
I purchased the japanese version of this CD before the game was releasedhere and I knew that we were in for a treat. I couldn't haveunderestimated it more. The music perfectly compliments the energy of thegame and sounds even better coming out of a stereos speakers than on yourTV (trust me it really does). Although it wasn't composed by (the great)Nobuo Uematsu like all the others and done instead by the people who did'The Bouncer' soundtrack (which is also brilliant), I think that just addsto the freshness of the sound; from the lively 'Yuna's Theme' to the heartsoftening '1000 words'. It's a rollercoaster of emotion without having topick up a controller. A must, must, MUST for all true final fantasy fans!
Final Fantasy X-2
With me being a massive Final Fantasy fan, I went out and bought the Final Fantasy X-2 on its release date. But one major selling point, appart from the terrific storyline, os the amazing piano and orchestral sounds from composer Nobuo Uematsu. What came as a shock for me was that a new composer would be doing the soundtrack for Final Fantasy X-2. These new composers, whose names are Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi. When I first put the game on a fantastic piano piece called 'memories of Lightwaves', which completely blew my head off. Ive only just recovered from what could have been a major injury!!! I loved the music so much for this game that I pre-Ordered the original soundtrack from Amazon. These new composers are absolutely fantastic. A lot of their songs have piano included in them, with drums, trumpets, orchestra and even guitars! It comes with 2 discs, the first disc having 31 songs on it, and the second disc with 30. Another thing you may notice when you first get the CD is the fantasic Japanese, full colour artwork and booklet. I really couldn't rate this CD any more. It truly is a fantastic CD. Bare in mind that the CD is an import, and therefor takes up to 6 weeks for Amazon to dispatch. But if anything, that only makes things more enjoyable. Because you really think youve spent £22 very well, and the wait is certainly worthwile. If you enjoyed the game youll love the CD(s)!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent
Final Fantasy music has always been brilliant, and this is no exception. The sound is slightly more modern than previous soundtracks but I loved it all the same.
The song 1000 Words brings out a strange emotion, a beautiful song, and an excellent reason to buy this album.
The selection of songs is pretty good too.
