Customer Reviews
Excellent
What an awesome cd.Having been a huge fan of the TV show, the album is a great tribute to the 80s.Everything from the new romantics(duran duran, human league) to synth-pop(a-ha,paul hardcastle) to the rave scene(inner city,s-express) is included. It also is done in chronological order so that the entire 10 years of the 80s are cover, which makes it the best 80s compilation to own.
The best an eighties fan can get
Whether you grew up listening to or are trying to understand eighties music, then this is the album 4 u.Inspired by the tv series of the same name, the album boasts many tracks that were featured during the tv show.musicians such as Adam Ant,Culture Club,Style Council,Rick Astley,Terence Trent D'arby etc were included in the show and invariably so were many other of the songs in this cd.Eg Marvin Gaye(well known Levi's ad), Jan Hammer(Miami Vice theme),Simple Minds(the brat pack segment) AND S-express(craze for Garfield Dolls in '88.There are a few duds on the album such as Altered Images' Happy Birthday,David Bowie's Absolute Beginners and Prince's Kiss. But these are cancelled out by timeless classics such as Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood,Ashes to Ashes by David Bowie,You Spin Me Round by Dead Or Alive, Walk this way by RUN DMC and Fools' Gold by The Stone Roses(probably the greatest indie-dance music crossover track ever made.definitly the best eighties cd around
Party album!!!!!!!!!!!!
With acclaimed tracks and a bit of disco as well, it makes a great package!!!
Get it, it's great!!
