Customer Reviews
The Best of Floyd
Shine On is a brilliant Boxset containing some of Pink Floyd's Best Albums
It Contains: Saucerful of Secrets (1968), Meddle (1971), (obviously) Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), The Wall Discs 1 & 2 (1979) and A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987) and a nice fold up box to present them in, (if you line all the discs up in a linear order you can see the DSOTM logo portayed on the side.)
It also includes a bonus disc containing all of their singles produced in the Pre-Dark Side era, and a large Hard-back book containing lots of information about the band during the production of the above albums.
The sound and quality is brilliant, the only problem is with disc 1 of the Wall they messed up the start and stop times of some of the songs (namely Empty Spaces and Young Lust), which won't matter if you listen to the disc from start to finish, it will just be complicated if you want to listen to a particular song
This is a must-have for all Floyd fans unless they have all their CD's or the Oh By the Way boxset.
almost a complete collection of Pink Floyd - can't be better
I myself have no doubt that Pink Floyd are the best band ever, so the only thing that could be better than this package would be a COMPLETE collection. Though, i must say that whoever buys this would give each album it's time to sink in, because it can lose it's value when you just listen to them all, one after the other.
