Product Description

Your search for a Apple iPhone 1st Gen case, skin, or cover is now over. ZAGG's invisibleSHIELDTM is an exceptionally clear and virtually indestructible film that will protect your iPhone from unsightly scratches. Our exclusive, patented film - with nano-memoryTM technology - covers and shields your device, keeping it as pristine as the day you took it out of the box. The precision pre-cut invisibleSHIELD applies directly to your iPhone, providing the toughest, most durable protection you will find. The invisibleSHIELD has its origins in the military, where it was used to protect high-speed helicopter blades from dust, dirt and debris. Now you can use that same powerful technology to protect your iPhone. The invisibleSHIELD is only .2 millimeters thick making it the slimmest iPhone skin or iPhone cover of its kind. It is so tough that we back it with a lifetime guarantee. So, if it ever does wear or scratch, we will replace it for free, for the life of your device. And if you ever need to remove the invisibleSHIELD, no problem; it comes off clean and leaves no sticky residue.

Nearly Invisible Protection...4
I ordered one of these kits because I didn't want to have to keep my iPhone in a bulky case, but didn't want it scratched by keys etc in my pocket or bag. The kit comes with all the things you need to install it; the film protection, instructions mini squegee and a spray bottle used to moisten the film before application.

The front screen protector is really easy to fit, and was on in seconds, but the back was a little harder. The little peices that fit over the front top and bottom edge, and the fill in pieces for each corner are really quite fiddly, but as long as you take it slowly, you should be ok. I spent a while just leaving the parts to dry slightly, then pressing them down, leaving them a while longer and pressing again. After a while they all stuck, and I left it to harden.

Ok, so it's a little fiddly, but it's really worth it to keep your expensive iPhone looking great for its entire life - and if you need to, you can peel off and replace this film with a new one. It does make the back of the iPhone shinier than it was before (being a matt back) but it feels ok and the touchscreen still works perfectly.

It's the least intrusive protection you can get for your phone, but take your time with it. If the peices are in the wrong place, remove them straight away and re-apply. I guess it took me about 1 1/2 hours to do it properly. Would have been 5 stars if it was a little easier to apply, but I can't think how this could be improved.

I'm going to get a kit for my iPod too...

Ooh, so painful to fit2
I've just spent a very frustrating and painful 2 hrs fitting all 9 pieces onto my new iPhone and ending up peeling them all off - bar the front cover and home button cover. The problem is that it's virtually impossible to make the shell completely cover the iPhone 100%, without having little bits just 0.5mm over the sides, that will get all fuzzy as they collect fluff from your pocket. I watched the application video on their website and very carefully applied all the pieces, but as the plastic stretches you get irregular cover from the back section of the phone, meaning the corners in particular, become a bit of a mess. Yes, you can smooth them down in your palms, but they still don't look great. I am a perfectionist and the end result was that the beauty of the iPhone was very much compromised, hence I removed the 7 offending pices.

Front cover is very robust and covers the screen pretty well (though it does seem 1mm short in all directions!) - I'd recommend that. I can only conclude that it's certainly not worth the money - just go for the front-screen cover.

A Must Buy For Any I-Phone User5
I have had this installed for over a month and in all honesty it is the best bit of kit I have ever bought.
Every phone I have ever had has got damaged and scratched just by being in the same jean pocket as coins and keys.
Not this one though it hasn't got a single mark.
I have never written a review for anything I have bought before but this is stunning.
I appreciate it isn't cheap and the postage is expensive, but after you have had it on for for a couple of weeks you will forget all about that.
I no longer am an i-phone bore extolling the virtues of the i-phone I have become an "Invisible Shield" bore instead. (I love the line about this being the stuff that the US military coat their helicopter rotar blades with).
Don't be put off by the comments about applying it (as I nearly was). I have the hands and patience of a baby elephant and I got it to apply fine. It takes time but is worth it. P.S. There are four little pieces that look like teardrops, don't throw them away as they are for the corners (not that I threw mine away and had to go rummaging in the bin)
