It really does help, a lot!
While working my way through this book, I found it very easy to use, it showed me exactly what I needed to do and it was very easy to follow. This book showed me the basics of using a guitar and it has made me feel more confident. I have not put this book down since I have recieved it and it definatly does help, so if you wanna learn, it is'nt too late like I thought it might be. Buy it and you'll be suprised!

Ideal for beginners, any child handed this book would happily work his/her way through it from start to finish without getting bored. It's written in that interesting style that captivates imagination - short paragraphs, bright hand-drawn pictures, tid-bits of facts and photos of guitar legends.

Two books and CDs nicely compliment this one - Really Easy Guitar Riffs and Beginning Rock Guitar for Kids: A Fun, Easy Approach to Playing Today's Rock Guitar Styles [With CD] (Book & CD). Both come with CDs, one teaches guitar playing and the other teaches riffs.

Were I restricted to buying only two books then I'd go for Learn to Play Guitar and Really Easy Guitar Riffs.
