Excellent and unrivalled
Written and photographed by Martin Brayley with co-author Richard Ingram this is an outstanding work with no rival in its attention to detail or coverage of the uniforms worn by the British military women in all theatres during WW11.
Does exactly what it says on the tin
This really is an extraordinarily good book if you're looking for details of women's uniforms from the WWII period. Every page has a large, clear photograph of a uniform (worn by a modern model, but with 40s styling), plus detail shots of shoes, insignia, berets and so on. I don't know enough about the subject to ascertain whether or not it covers every possible type of uniform, but if you're a re-enactor or a costume designer, I don't think you could find a better initial resource than this.
