Great to find all your local frequencies
A great book for any scanning enthusiast. It lists all curently in use frequencies and also tells you what they are and who uses them.

For the person who said it was a waste of money, he obviously only wants to pick up Police or Fire brigade, as they have moved to Tetra which no scanner on the market can currently pick up.
Hardly the books fault.

If you want to find out your local airbases frequencies, your local cabbie or even your dustman, this is the book for you.

A good guide but out of date by 4 years
I was happy to purchase this book as it is a good reference guide to find 'what is where' regarding band allocations. However I was disappointed to discover that this '9th edition' is actually a reprint from 2005! So it is way out of date!

In my area most of the given frequencies listed dont exsist anymore, and those that do obviously aren't printed.

I found a cd rom on ebay which I purchased for £1.99 after buying this book. The cd is more up to date for most of the frequencies and lists the cities from A to Z which is also helpful.

Conclusion: A good book for reference only, but way over priced because it's outdated.

This book its great, will tell you all the frequency that GB have, its a buy item, reccomended if you dont know much about the channel that you listening to. 1 st book for me well impress.
