A Masterful design - no Kidding!
This is the 3rd Adie Bike basket I have purchased from Amazon (the family are still using the first 2 though) - it is however light years ahead of the original (which hooks over the handlebars and has to be restrained to avoid it swinging about when loaded - which can affect the steering).
The second type clamps to the bars - very much better of course, but has to be braced/wedged against the stem of the bars to prevent bouncing (the clamp can not reasonably stand over-tightening to eliminate this).
The current model above now has a very sturdy clamping system - not just relying on a rubber sleeve insert to immobilse the clamp - but a very substantial pair of moulded clamps which can be safely locked very tightly, but more - the tendency to bounce is completely eliminated now by another adjustment on a restraint bar which is moved positively against the stem below the bars which can be tightly braced with strong bolts to complete the job most effectively.
I really applaud the designers here and thoroughly recommend the product.

I think this is a great bike basket; easy to install, easy to put on & take off, strong & sturdy for holding shopping etc.

this item is not what I expected, vey awkward fitting to bike and took ages to fit. It is not the correct shape.
