When renovating, thin floor heating solutions are used and the RFM-150 heating mat is perfect for this type of job. Designed to be installed directly below tiles and stone flooring, on-line selection is easy from the largest range of mat sizes on the market. Complete with adhesive fixing strips, RFM-150 mats are produced with PTFE insulated heating elements and a 100% earth screen ? worldwide approvals. RFM is installed the professional way with the heating elements facing downwards. This is especially helpful when laying your tiles directly onto the mat without first applying a screed. Also, because the elements are on the underside of the glass fibre mesh they are shielded from sharp trowels and possible damage. When calculating the heated floor area leave a gap unheated around the room perimeter of up to 100mm.The heated floor area must be free, avoid heating under kitchen cabinets, WC?s, showers, washbasins and appliances. Always select a mat size that is less than your free floor area because you cannot cut the heating cable. The wide range allows you to choose the best size for the heated floor area every time. The ½m² sizes up to 5m² offer greater design flexibility ? ideal for bathroom & kitchen projects. Simple handling and installation on site in any room shape. Supplied with full installation instructions. Larger areas can be heated by combining two or more mats, wired together in parallel. Please take care to not overload your 13A fused switch spur (our UFHSTAT is also limited to 13A). For a total load exceeding 2750 watts you must switch the control via a contactor.
