very useful guide
I purchased this guide before my trip to Amsterdam and it was indeed very useful. It has divided Amsterdam in to different area such as Oude Zijde, nieuwe zijde, western canal ring, eastern canal ring, central canal ring, museum quarter, plantage etc.
It lists the attractions of each area in a clear and easy to read manner.
It also describes about some of the major attractions in a detailed manner.
This guide is filled with lots of photos and is supplied with a folded map of amsterdam city. Overall a good buy.

Really easy and helpful
I didn't have much time to plan the trip to Amsterdam and I bought the guide thinking it can help. It really does, specially the central map divided in zones, easy to find everything. We moved everywhere and could find us easily.

I dind't use the info about restaurants and hotels, but just for moving and getting some nice tips it was excellent.

We could also plan the route to Haarlem and the tulip fields in a 50 km ride with the bikes thanks to all the nice advices of the book. We are very impressed on how helpful it was. It just said the essential that we needed for the 4 day trip.

I will always go for the guides of Eyewitness from now on!

If you want something very complete and you rather need to have very detailed books go for something else. If you want to have a funtional map with indications and finding everything fast, few but excellent tips, get this one and you won't regret it.

Would recommend!
Great little size, with maps and plenty of info. Perfect for anyone who is going to Amsterdam with plans to see a few things whilst there!
