We could have been concerned
Although dated 2006 this guide book seemed to be well out of date. Perhaps things have changed rapidly but the warnings re aggresive begging, wild dogs and pickpockets in Bucharest are over the top. The city seems a very safe one with many helpful inhabitants. We had a most enjoyable visit using the new Aer Lingus flights.
