Two Clots in a Camper tells how a couple take to the roads of Europe in their beloved ageing V W camper van called 'Pooh the Bus'. Mistakes made and lessons learned are conveyed to the reader in a humorous style as if chatting to the pair around the campfire. Experience the real joys of a freedom to travel that few modern busy people can experience.

Editorial Reviews
From the Author
Since the books release we have had some wonderful feedback from people and fellow campers who have read our tales and raised a chuckle or two. We seem to have hit a cord with our fellow travellers, everyone can relate to one experience or another, and we love to hear from them. This is not meant to be a guidebook, but an account of our adventures, although many of our mistakes may be avoided by reading our tale.
About the Author
Linda and Steve both live near Brighton, England. Although spending a lifetime within half a mile of each other, they never met. Then at a divorce party they got together, later married and are now real soulmates, enjoying travel and a recent move to a bungalow near the sea.
Customer Reviews
Two Clots - A treat.
If you're a seasoned reader, or just looking for something to read on the bus to work - this light hearted book will hold you chapter for chapter. Coppard (first time published, I believe) has captured a journey that almost makes you feel you went on holiday with them - as you drive through each chapter (and you must read a whole chapter at a time, there never seems to be a right place to leave it).
Quite simply - if you're going to Thailand, read Alex Garland, if your going out of the galaxy read Douglas Adams but if your going to Europe or driving the rays in your garden - read Steve Coppard!
loved it
We just brought an VW conversion took this book on our first trip and even my non reading hubby read bits and had a giggle . Funny and lighthearted Having camped in france taking bikes could relate to a lot of the "two clots" jaunts.
Would recomend this book to anyone who is, or dreams to travel for a few weeks around europe.
Turgid
Whoever told Steve Coppard he could write did the world a disservice. This book details a series of non-events on the travels of a pretty dull couple in a style which is irritatingly 'chatty' and utterly unimaginative, and has a nasty undercurrent of patronising racial stereotypes. Maybe if they hadn't spent so much time drinking, they could have noted some more interesting details of the places they visited. If you met these people on holiday, you'd hide in your tent.
