I have purchased this in anticipation of a trip to Senegal later in the year. As it is a predominantly french speaking country I may need a bit of help, especially when it comes to ordering something like a Gin and tonic with ice! I've had a flick through the book and I think it will be helpful, it gives lots of everyday phrases and helps you with the pronunciation, and it will be small enough to fit in my handbag - enough said.

We bought this French phrasebook for our weekend trip to Paris. We did not even open it! It seems that to have English speaking staff as a "must" in French hotels, cafes and restaurants in a centre of Paris. All menu had an English version underneath the French one. However some might find it useful outside of Paris.
