A new edition guide to Rome completely revamped, in this best-selling map and pocket guide series. Ideal for business and leisure, "CityPack Rome" is succinct, with all the practical information you need. The guide has been completely revamped with new content design and layout. There are four main sections Essential Rome, Rome by Area, Where to Stay and Need to Know. The city has been broken up into colour-coded districts, with the colour-coding cross-referenced throughout each section. Essential Rome starts with the top 25 sights plus a locator map, then essential information to get the most of a short break in the city. Rome by Area takes you through the city, district by district, with localised shopping and entertainment listings. Where to Stay picks the best hotels to suit your budget, with web addresses listed where available. Need to Know contains all the basics for a smooth-running trip. Each district within the city has a two-page, colour-coded locator map with sights listed. There is a fold-out map of the city contained within the guide.

Customer Reviews
Incredibly useful
Of the two guides I had in Rome, this was by far the one I used the most. the sideward folding maps were quick to get to, the reviews and price information on the attractions and restaurants were accurate, and I was impressed with the range of sites it listed and reviewed, especially my favourite visit of the holiday to San Clemente which wasn't even listed in the other guide. The reviews are candid and comprehensive, including opening times, phone numbers, what public transport goes there, etc, but they're not long and rambling.
The only downside was the initially unclear marking of tube/bus stops as there wasn't a key explaining which was which (orange = bus, blue = tube), and some small street names are left off because they wouldn't fit onto the scale of the map. But overall it was definitely my favourite source of information for Rome that I would recommend to anyone.
Rome AA Guide
Useful Guide, however, some of the facts were totally out of date causing me to waste a great deal of time. For example, the bus numbers were well out of date (the Guide says that this information is up to date). The format of the Guide is useful and helped me to priortise my visits to the central area and cover a lot of things that, perhaps, I would not have reached on my short break.
