Easy to use and very compact5
Excellent for background information and planning a short stay! Actually I like the whole TOP 10 series very much.

Berlin guide5
Excellent little book, easy to carry around and full of what ever you need to know for a visit.

A good concise guide4
If you are visiting Berlin for two or three days, this is an excellent guide. There is just enough detail to be able to get a good idea of what you are going to see and to plan your visit in advance or on the fly, as you wish.
The guide is well organised and with good cross references between sections. Because of its fairly small size, the reviews of restaurants etc. are fairly cursory and there is by no means a comprehensive coverage. However, I rarely use guide books for that purpose anyway.
The format is easy to carry around and with judicious use of sticky notes to mark the things you are interested in for quick reference, it forms a good basis for a short visit.
One thing though, you will need to buy a decent street map of Berlin to go with it. The small map that comes with it is so small that it is virtually illegible and not sufficiently detailed unless you have spectacularly good eyesight!
