Forget the rest and buy the best
I bought several guides to Japan and Tokyo as I'm planning a trip in Summer 2008. Most were quite handy with plenty of information but little pictures. This has lots and lots of both! Maps, guides, restaurants, hotels, shops etc etc you name it and its in here. Well worth the money and quite a handy size for taking on board a plane. Highly recommended.
